2024: LAWRENCEVILLE (NJ) AND ARCHBISHOP SPALDING (MD) ARE CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF THE VARSITY SESSIONS, FOG CITY (CA) TAKES THE JUNIOR VARSITY TITLE
Over one hundred high school lacrosse teams traveled to Howard County, MD to compete in the 12th annual National High School Lacrosse Showcase this past June. The competition was amazing and the sidelines were packed with over two hundred college coaches in attendance.
Twelve teams battled it out in the JV Session, with Fog City (CA) outlasting Calvert Hall (MD) 6-5 in a thrilling overtime game.
In the Red Varsity Session, Archbishop Spalding finished on top with their second NHSLS championship. After dominating competition throughout the event, they ran into an equally strong Haverford (PA) team in the title match. But Spalding was just too good and finished with a 7-6 championship game victory. Other semifinal teams included two local MIAA programs, St. Paul’s and McDonogh.
At the White Varsity Session, the nation’s number one ranked high school team, Lawrenceville School, won their first NHSLS title in impressive fashion. After defeating a fellow New Jersey school, Seton Hall Prep, in the semifinals (10-7), they played an excellent Landon School team and cruised to a 7-3 victory. Landon was coming off a hard-fought semifinal game against Calvert Hall (MD) and had demonstrated a high level of play throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to all of our participants in the 2024 NHSLS!
